POSITION SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the Food and Beverage Manager, the Food and Beverage Supervisor manages the

day-to-day supervision of the Tu Ka Novie Restaurant and Wanaaha Lounge. Responsible for efficient oversight of

Team Members in the Food & Beverage operations with the objective of improving the quantity and quality of work

done continuously and ensuring efficient and work operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1. Assists with the day-to-ay operations of the Food & Beverage Departments, ensure optimum service, and

meet the needs of the guests.

2. Assist with developing schedules and coordinates with Food & Beverage Manager any scheduling

concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction.

3. Coordinate to ensure that inventory and operating supplies are equipped, sanitized, cleaned, stocked, and

set-up correctly at the beginning of shift and throughout.

4. Provide firsthand leadership for all Food & Beverage outlets, providing guidance and coaching to Team

Members and make recommendations on discipline where necessary.

5. Assists the Food & Beverage Manager with the overall operation by enforcing regulatory Internal Control

Procedures, Policy and Procedures, and appearance and uniform guidelines.

6. Assists the Food & Beverage Manager in recruiting, hiring, training, and Team Member engagement.

7. Have complete knowledge of all Casino events and promotional activities.

8. Responds to guest needs and reports problems to Food & Beverage Manager.

9. Build a strong cohesive team by creating an environment of teamwork and lateral service.

10. Assists Servers, Food & Beverage Cashiers, Food Runners, and Dishwasher/Bussers in giving the best

possible service.

11. Provide technical services/support to the Food & Beverage Manager.

12. Serves as the subject matter expert on departmental processes and procedures.

13. Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

14. Ability and willingness to attend additional training is required.

15. Other duties as assigned by Management.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

➢ High School Diploma or GED is required.

➢ Must be 21 years of age or older.

➢ Must possess a valid Driver’s License.

➢ Minimum two (2) years previous Food & Beverage customer service experience required, preferable in hospitality, restaurants, or gaming.

➢ Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience.

➢ Casino experience preferred.

➢ Knowledge of the principles and practices within the Food & Beverage/Hospitality Industries.

➢ Skill in providing leadership to, supervising, training, and evaluating assigned staff.

➢ Proficiency in Restaurant software such as Micros, Agilysys, or similar software.

➢ Ability to analyze situations and adopt appropriate courses of action.

➢ Ability to work independently and meet strict timelines.

➢ Excellent skills in both written and oral communication.

➢ Basic math and computer skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS

➢ Must possess ability to interact with the public and fellow Team Members, demonstrating respect, and tact, courtesy.

➢ An excellent appearance is required and must always be in proper business attire and always be friendly.

➢ Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters.

➢ Must be detailed oriented.

➢ Able to hear and speak effectively in a noisy environment.

➢ Must be able to work various schedules, on an as-needed basis; as work schedules could vary and will involve day, evening, or nighttime hours during the week and/or on weekends.

➢ Must meet requirements to qualify for a Bishop Paiute Gaming License. Must pass an extensive background check.

➢ Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

➢ Required to stand or walk for up to eight (8) hours per day.

➢ Ability to sit, stoop, kneel or crouch while performing duties.

➢ Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

➢ Ability to use arms to reach and lift above shoulders.

➢ Ability to lift, push, or pull upwards of fifty pounds.
